Zakala's Poetry
Sometimes alone, she whispers to her heart
She keeps it in an alabaster shroud
Sometimes apart, she spreads her soul wide
Drinking in the moonlight
Drinking in the clouds
She keeps it in an alabaster shroud
Sometimes apart, she spreads her soul wide
Drinking in the moonlight
Drinking in the clouds

The Wide Blue (for Jeanette)
I love you
I say, gazing into the wide
blue yonder.
I see you in clouds
and upon the hills wreathed
in the grey mists of early morning.
I hear you in the happy laughter
and the tumbling of the stream
as it passes on it's way to you from me.
I touch you in silk
and the brushing of hair against
my skin, your touch caressing
I feel you in the warmth of the sun
and the silver light of the moon
as it passes on it's way to you from me.
I love you
I say, reaching into the wide
blue yonder.
